A missing tooth can seriously affect an otherwise healthy smile. It can also cause structural problems as surrounding teeth slide to fill in the gap. Bridges offer a permanent solution to this problem and can help you recover the aesthetic and functional health of your smile after tooth loss.

Bridges act to ‘bridge’ the gap between two healthy teeth. A Bridge can fill a gap of up to four teeth if there are healthy natural teeth flanking the gap. Made with a natural looking material that resembles your existing teeth, the Bridge will replace your missing teeth and will appear entirely natural.

It is important to remember that if you plan on getting Dental Bridges, the teeth on either side of the missing one will be prepared as Crowns. This will serve as an anchor for the Dental Bridge and will be cemented in place for stability. This means that the smallest Bridge is the equivalent of 3 Crowns. The maximum would be to restore a complete arch of your mouth. Small Bridges can be made of pure ceramics without any metal like we do for the single Crowns. For Bridges of 5 teeth or more, we use a metal substructure.
